Wow! Can you believe it’s already summer?! We started our Summer Camps on Monday! We had our Top Chef Camp and our Quirky Quilts Camp.

We love doing good things for charity whenever we can so this last Saturday, May 18th, we had our annual Sew Crafty Craft Fair. Families set up tables in our studio with their handmade crafts and treats and we opened up shop and invited the whole community in! All of the Craft Fair proceeds from this event went to Girl Forward.

Wondering who Girl Forward is? GirlForward provides adolescent refugee girls with individual mentorship, educational programs, and leadership opportunities; creating a community of support that serves as a resource and empowers girls to be strong, confident, and independent.

We invited the Girl Forward girls for a night of crafting a few weeks ago. It was so fun to meet all of them and teach them how to sew. On the day of the Craft Fair we invited them back to have their own table set up in our studio to sell the crafts they created.

The Craft Fair was another success and we ended up raising a whopping $1,040.00 for Girl Forward!

We plan on having another Craft Fair to kick off the school year in September. Please let us know if you and your family would like to be part of the event!

I am THRILLED to announce our Spring Sew Crafty Craft Fair for kids by kids! This May we are hosting our 3rd Sew Crafty Craft Fair and we would love to invite you to be a part of it!

Are you and your family available to become vendors at the very first Sew Crafty Craft Fair? Do you have 10+ homemade crafts or art to sell? Then WE WANT YOU!

Saturday May 18th from 1pm to 4pm at Sew Crafty Studio (2320 N. Damen Ave.)

It’s completely FREE to be a part of the Craft Fair and it’s FREE to attend!

Requirements to be a vendor at our craft fair:

* All crafts must be handmade by a child or with the assistance of a child.
* Must have at least 10+ items to sell.
* Must create your own:
* Vendor sign/name (example: Jodie’s Jewels)
* Pricing/tags
* All proceeds to benefit Girl Forward. For more information on Girl Forward please visit: www.girlforward.org

If you think your child would love to be a vendor for this event you MUST RSVP to hold your space. We have limited table spaces. First come, first serve.
